May 1, 2025 – Lenexa, KS – The National Insulation Association (NIA) has named Rick Sutphin, Senior Vice President of Operations at Performance Contracting, Inc. (PCI), as its new President for the 2025–2026 term. With more than 33 years of service at PCI and a legacy of operational leadership in the construction and insulation sectors, Rick brings deep experience and a collaborative mindset to this national role.
Throughout his career, Rick has helped drive innovation and excellence at PCI. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Building Construction from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and has long been an advocate for industry advancement through shared knowledge and strong partnerships.
Rick’s appointment was confirmed during the NIA Business Session at its Annual Convention. As NIA President, he will help lead national efforts to promote the value of mechanical insulation, enhance industry education, and support collaboration across contractors, manufacturers, distributors, and other stakeholders.
PCI and NIA have maintained a close and mutually beneficial relationship for decades. “The networking and education from involvement with other members from all facets of the insulation industry have been invaluable,” Rick said. “Collectively, we strive to raise awareness of the value of insulation to strengthen and grow the industry.”
