The complex and innovative scaffold system at San Fransisco Intl. Airport (SFO) was installed in Spring 2025, erected to allow the airport to complete necessary repairs and repainting on their international terminal. The supported scaffold system provided contractors with safe and convenient access and prioritized the traveler experience, limiting impact on pedestrian and vehicle traffic. Scaffold engineer D.H. Charles Engineering partnered with PCI to design and construct the system, and both teams were awarded the 2026 Commercial Collaborative Project of the Year by the Scaffold and Access Industry Association (SAIA) for their exceptional work.
