The ECO Product Tankers are 50,000 deadweight ton LNG-conversion-ready product carriers with a 330,000 barrel cargo capacity. The 8 ship program was designed by DSEC and built by General Dynamics NASSCO between 2014 and 2017. These vessels support the Jones Act trade.
PCI provided design build services for the structural and mechanical insulation on all 8 vessels. We worked closely with NASSCO and DSEC to ensure that the insulation systems were designed with domestically sourced materials to ensure schedule adherence.
