Named in honor of its 2014 Heisman Trophy award winner, the University of Oregon’s Marcus Mariota Sports Performance Center is one of the premier sports facilities in the world. Sponsored by Nike, the 30,000 square-foot facility boasts the latest in innovation and design, truly making it a one-of-a-kind athletic center. Custom ceilings throughout the facility feature the flying duck, in which Marcus Mariota’s face is represented in remarkable detail. A “slumber room,” where athletes can rest and recharge without disturbance, utilizes specialty felt wall panels which were manufactured on the west coast, then sent to the east coast to have the Oregon “O” cut in with precise detail.
Today, the Marcus Mariota Sports Performance Center is a world-class facility dedicated to serving the academic and athletic pursuits of student-athletes at the University of Oregon.
